At Kayak Hanalei we take great pride and care to ensure that all of our passengers experience the ocean and history of Hanalei in a manner that is fun and pono (culturally and environmentally correct). Of course, all kayak tours include the breathtaking natural beauty of Hanalei, Kauai.

Note that we do not offer kayak tours from November through February due to high surf. Bookings are not available during these months.

The Bay Explorer (March through October)

This river-ocean combo tour of Hanalei River and Hanalei Bay is great for all ages. On this unforgettable adventure. You will experience the rich cultural history and natural beauty of Hanalei, Kauai.

• Slip back into time and experience the feeling of old Hawaii. A friendly personalized narrated tour of the Hanalei River.

• Explore Hanalei bay, the largest natural bay on Kauai and visit the home of the giant green sea turtle's ( the oldest amphibious reptiles in the world).

• Land on a beautiful beach where we will share with you the meaning of (MALAMA KE KAI) the Hawaiian concept of caring for the sea...

• Snorkel at a tropical reef teeming with fish, turtles, and many other amazing sights. A complete lunch on a white sand beach with deli sandwiches (vegi on request), fresh fruit, and Hawaiian juices.

• All snorkel gear, water proof bags, and life jackets provided. (Bring hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and definitely your camera)

• Our guides are trained in First Aid, CPR, and advanced water life saving.

• Our kayaks are rated for a maximum weight of 225lbs. per passenger.
• Tours operate Monday through Saturday (closed Sundays)
• Check in at Ching Young Center (directions)
